Don't know if you can tell but the grayish area is on a oil pan of a f550 6.7 power stroke. It's always easier to just jb weld apoxy it and keep on rolling...
Until it looses the engine oil...

We found this and informed the new owner of the truck... The previous owner didn't disclose that the truck had a hole in the oil pan. At this point it's time for a cab up and new Ford oil pan and repair for the correct repair..

Well crap.... LOTS of questions come up with a cracked piston....

What caused it?
Did it over heat?
Bad fuel?
Maintenance up to date???
Hot tune??
To much egts,
Or just to much fuel?

Well most of all listed can be the cause. BUT injector sticking and turned in to a torch. (See melted piston)
Then cylinder pressure was extremely high and very high egt's. This is when you need a good time and great tech to inform, and maintain your truck.
