Outdoor temperatures are dropping which causes wildlife to seek shelter. Many vehicles are sitting without regular use due to the pandemic. We are seeing an increase of rodent infestation due to the cold temperatures and dormant vehicles. The rodents make nests in cabin filters and air filters which can cause health issues and drivability problems. We checked the cabin filter on a vehicle yesterday and found a huge nest which is pictured below. Call us or stop by to review this in more detail.

On Monday a white pigeon arrived stuck in the grille of a Volvo that had been towed in. The bird is now convalescing under our hedges by our front window and has an ample supply of food and water. It wanted to come in our office area but had no face mask so it was denied entry.

We had a severe storm pass over us late this afternoon but when it was over the dark clouds and rain were replaced with a double rainbow.

An increased amount of rodent activity in engine compartments continues to be a problem with so many vehicles dormant due to Covid-19. If your vehicle has not been used regularly it should be inspected. Raise the hood and check for nest material and/or rodent droppings or if you prefer stop in and we will perform a quick inspection.

This Jeep came in for service and had a large rodent nest sitting on top of the engine cover. Usually nests are found under the cover or in a more concealed location and not out in the open like this one.
