You can now order 830 horsepower out of a crate, on 91-octane pump gas, with a 30-month/50,000-mile transferable warranty, dyno-tested before it ships, with a printout of your specific engine's power numbers in the box. BluePrint Engines' new Builder Series 427 LS is a supercharged, turn-key V8 that arrives ready to bolt in. No tuning. No assembly. No hoping the numbers are real. They tested it, printed the sheet, and shipped it. The era of 800-HP crate engines that run on pump gas and come with warranties has arrived.
The foundation is BluePrint's own high-strength cast iron block with increased deck thickness, extended cylinder skirts, reinforced webbing, revised water jackets, priority main oiling, and six-bolt billet main caps. Inside: forged steel crankshaft, forged H-beam connecting rods, forged pistons, all balanced to within two grams of specification. On top: BluePrint's LS3-style aluminum cylinder heads, optimized for airflow. Feeding it: a Magnuson TVS2650 twin-screw supercharger. Managing it: a Holley Terminator X Max EFI system with a preloaded custom base tune, real-time fuel map learning, 3.5-inch touchscreen, and enough inputs and outputs to control fans, boost solenoids, and accessories. Drive-by-wire throttle body with matching pedal. Sensors, coil packs, and wiring harness included.
The Builder Series packages it with a transmission: either a Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual or a 4L80E automatic. Engine plus transmission plus management system plus supercharger plus warranty. One order. One shipment. One installation. The idea is that you spend your time building the car around the engine, not building the engine itself. For pro-touring builds, restomods, and street machines where the owner wants serious power without becoming a part-time engine builder, this is the point.
