A friend once told me that I work in the pots and pans (i.e. service and parts) departments of car dealerships. I told him he was right. We use pots and pans to cook our food. Service and parts departments play an enormous role in overall dealership profitability. By the way, dealership service departments aren't really that much more expensive, and many times are less expensive than the independent repair facilities. Tremendous value in OEM parts and factory trained and certified technicians.
