With Memory and homage to those great motorists in 1907 who participated in The Great gruelling New York to Paris Race of 1908, I dedicate my humble effort from Kentucky to Maine along with 130 other adventurists. Ten automobiles from Maine will compete in this event this year, that was begun in 1983. Team LobsterState 54 and the Packard Caribbean will give them all the hell we can! Wish us well! (PS This is a detailed 'Timed Event,' much more difficult than speed alone)

(The 1908 New York to Paris Race was an automobile competition consisting of drivers attempting to travel from New York to Paris. This was a considerable challenge given the state of automobile technology and road infrastructure at the time. Only three of six contestants completed the course. The winner was the American team, driving a 1907 Thomas Flyer.)

A special day and recognition for the Maine Christmas Tree Association! Columbia Classic Cars was asked by Association vice president Ryan Liberty to help coordinate the delivery of two beautiful Maine Christmas trees from the award winning Finestkind Tree Farms. A call to Steve McGee of Gardiner resulted in his generous willingness to make the delivery with Ryan to Governor Janet T. Mills at the Blaine House in his completely restored 1958 Chevrolet Apache pick-up truck in Robin's egg blue! The 5 ft tree will go into the Governor's residence and the 8 ft tree in the reception area. Governor Mills thanked the hard work of the Association on behalf of its membership, expressed gratitude for the wonderful gift of trees to the people of the State of Maine and their Blaine House, and congratulated Finestkind Tree Farms in Dover-Foxcroft for their unfaltering commitment to quality and bringing good cheer to their customers. And of course the press was on hand to record and hear the remarks. Thank you to all involved!
