After a collision, you should know what is happening with your vehicle and what to expect from the repair process.

Ask which parts are being repaired or replaced. Ask whether the estimate includes hidden damage that may be found during disassembly. Ask how the shop will match the paint and restore your vehicle’s safety systems. Ask what repairs are covered by the estimate and what happens if additional damage is discovered. A reputable collision repair shop should be able to explain the repair plan clearly before work begins.

Ride Out of the Darkness is one of those events for the Stewart Auto family. It’s a chance to remember those we’ve lost, support those who may be struggling, and remind people that they are surrounded by more love than they may realize.

On Saturday, October 3, we’ll ride again for the 6th Annual Ride Out of the Darkness, beginning at Auburndale Speedway and ending with the community rally at SUN ’n FUN in Lakeland.

From the outside, collision repair can look like a simple before-and-after. Inside the shop, the repair is a series of inspections, measurements, decisions, and checks that begins with the visible damage and continues as the vehicle is taken apart. Disassembly may reveal damage that could not be seen at drop-off, while modern sensors and vehicle systems may add steps that are not obvious from the bumper or body panel. The paint and finish come later, after the repair plan is complete and the underlying work has been addressed.
