This is the last fitting assembly that we are doing on the 1970 GSX. We will be disassembling it completely for refinishing. Dave Shults, my brother, who does all of our body work and paint, will be applying the Apollo White to the body and I will be doing all the mechanical work and the wiring. The frame and all the suspension pieces are all being powder coated at Competition Coatings. The motor is being rebuilt in Wisconsin by Dave Kliener, who is the owner of GS Enterprises. I visited his shop this past summer and was very impressed with Dave's knowledge of Buick GS and GSX.

We're starting assembly on Steve's 1969 Boss 429 with 54,000 original miles that he bought from a dealer in 1976. The car was disassembled in 1980 and put on a shelf until the start of the restoration since 2010. All the new parts that are going back on the car are NOS parts in Ford boxes and bags that have been collected for the past 20 years. The NOS battery for this car is $12,000!! It will about a year before completely assembled and it will be dry of all fluids. Strickly for show.
