Gordies Towing & Repair Since 1970, Gordie’s has provided total automotive care. We work on all makes of cars and light trucks. That location closed in 1988.

We are Winona’s only source offering towing and automotive repair with one call convenience when you have an unexpected problem. Gordie’s was founded in 1970 when Gordie Peterson leased the original location from Standard Oil Company on the corner of Hwys 14 and 61. Along the way, the Huff location was purchased by Gordie and later sold in 1996 to his son, Jeff, who manages daily operations today. We are Winona’s only source offering towing and repairs with one call convenience. A lot has changed over the years (there were 13 service stations in Winona in 1970), but our commitment to our customers has not changed. We value integrity and personal relationships. Our goal is to treat each vehicle like it belongs to our mother.

Big News! I am pleased to introduce the new owners of Gordie’s. Ben and Aleisha Leger of Winona purchased the business on Monday the 28th.
Ben is the right guy, and this is the right time for me and my wife Robin to move on. It was important to me that the future owner carry on our 52 year heritage of taking care of people’s automotive needs, and I look forward to watching Ben and our team continue that legacy. Ben is not new to Gordie’s. He worked here for about 10 years through college, and then well beyond as a second job while working as an Engineer at Benchmark. He left Gordie’s in 2013 but we’ve always kept in touch. I’ve had him in mind for years as my successor and was thrilled when he was receptive to buying the business.
Ben is not planning any significant changes to what we do/offer, and all of our same staff are still there. Ben has a calm and likeable personality and is a good leader. He loves cars and people! I know he looks forward to meeting you.
I want to thank all of our customers for your business and support during my 25+ years of ownership. It’s been a good run and I will truly miss seeing you.
