The Rice Festival includes a carnival, two parades, livestock show, longhorn show, open horse show, BBQ cook off, nightly street dances, music and entertainers, antique car show, rice cooking contest, pageants and food, food, food.

And don’t forget—Texas Rice Festival Pageant registration opens this Wednesday, July 8, at 9:00 AM! Registration is in person only, and several pageants fill quickly, so plan to arrive early to reserve your spot.

The Pageant entry forms are now available! You can download them from the TRF website here:

🗓️ Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the TRF Office 307 E Le Blanc Road in Winnie, Texas.

👉 Please note: Registration is in person only on July 8th. Many of the pageants have a limited number of contestants and fill up quickly, so arriving early is the best way to secure your child’s spot. You are welcome to send someone to register your child if the parent or family member can not be there at that time.
