Storm Response & Outage Information

When severe storms move through our community, they can cause widespread damage that results in downed trees, damaged power lines, and power outages. These situations are the result of the storm itself, and our focus immediately shifts to responding as quickly and safely as possible.

Our Electric Department and Street Department crews work together to clear roads, remove trees, repair damaged lines, and restore power as safely and efficiently as conditions allow. These employees are often working long hours, day and night, to restore services to our community.

We also have an emergency call center that receives outage reports and dispatches those calls directly to our crews. We have heard your concerns about the reporting process and are actively looking at ways to improve it so we can better serve our citizens.

If you need to report a power outage or other utility emergency, please use the emergency phone numbers that are:

We appreciate everyone's patience, understanding, and support during severe weather events. Thank you to our Electric Department, Street Department, emergency dispatchers, and everyone working behind the scenes to help keep our community safe and restore services as quickly as possible.

Power Restoration Update

We understand how difficult it is to still be without power, and we want to assure everyone that restoring service remains our highest priority.

Our electric crew has worked tirelessly for extended hours responding to widespread outages. For the safety of our employees, we are calling in additional assistance to help complete the remaining repairs as quickly and safely as possible.

At this time, the following areas are still awaiting repairs:

Halsey Street
Parts of Center Street
Parts of Pecan Drive
We want to extend our sincere thanks to both our Electric Department and Street Department crews. They have worked around the clock under challenging conditions, clearing roads, repairing damage, and doing everything possible to restore services to our community.
We know this has been a long and frustrating process, and we truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and support. We will continue to provide updates as restoration efforts progress.

Public Safety Advisory

Due to severe weather, there are several power outages reported throughout the city. Crews are responding to multiple reports of downed tree limbs, utility poles, and power lines.

Residents are urged to use extreme caution. Stay away from all downed power lines, as they should always be considered energized. Avoid areas with storm damage whenever possible, and never drive around barricades or through debris-covered roadways.

Utility crews are actively working to restore power and clear roadways as quickly and safely as conditions allow. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as response efforts continue.
