🥶 Brrr… it’s a cold one today!

Cold days can be tough on people and vehicles. If your car feels a little grumpy today, you’re not imagining it. Cold temps can mean slower starts, low tire pressure, weak batteries, and thicker fluids.

A few quick cold-weather reminders:
• Let your car warm up just a bit
• Check tire pressure (cold drops PSI!)
• If it cranks slow or struggles to start, your battery may be telling you something
• And please… don’t rush the ice…give yourself extra time

Ice and snow can be tough on vehicles. A little preparation now can help prevent breakdowns, no-starts, and costly repairs later.

🔧 Check your battery
Cold weather drains battery power fast. If your battery is already weak, freezing temps may finish it off.

🔧 Top off fluids
Make sure antifreeze/coolant is at proper strength, windshield washer fluid is winter-rated, and oil is at the correct level.

🔧 Inspect tires
Cold air lowers tire pressure. Check PSI and tread depth—good traction is critical on icy roads.

🔧 Wiper blades matter
Old or torn blades won’t clear ice or sleet properly. Visibility is safety.

🔧 Let your car warm up briefly
30–60 seconds is enough—this helps oil circulate before driving.

We’re working overtime this week to help get our emergency responders and power companies ready for the big ice and snow storm headed our way this weekend. From bucket trucks to service vehicles, we know how critical it is that this equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to roll when the weather turns bad.
