What do you do when your obsolete OEM trim clips fail to function? This clip holds a stainless quarter panel trim in the area of the wheel well where there is no access for a stud and nut.

Well, you get creative and hit your trim clip horde.

You can see the original (silver looking) clip looks pretty good, but notice that one of the legs is already broken.

In my drawers I had a clip that was the perfect size, but it has a stud. Another clip has the proper style snap-in retainer.

Remove the stud from the large clip, remove the fingers from the small clip, and put them together properly located. Fits in the stainless trim better than the original, and snaps into the body with a proper grip
