Serpentine belt was getting chewed up on this C15. After checking pulley alignment I found the fan clutch was rebuilt, and the outboard spacer and snap ring were missing allowing the pulley to shift out of alignment. Unfortunately that also allowed the nut on the clutch to grind down the spindle rendering the assembly unusable. And a new clutch was installed.
