It is no secret that an altercation occurred at our car lot on Tuesday, September 8. We understand that portions of the incident are circulating online and have caused concern within our community.
Because this matter involves ongoing legal proceedings, we have been advised by legal counsel not to release the complete surveillance footage or publicly discuss specific evidence at this time. The limited clips being shared do not show the incident in its entirety or provide the full context of what occurred. The complete footage has been preserved and provided to the appropriate authorities.
Working in the buy-here-pay-here industry sometimes requires us to handle difficult and emotionally charged situations. We understand that customers may experience financial hardship, and we make every reasonable effort to work with them. However, we must also enforce legally binding contracts and follow the lawful procedures that apply when an account remains unresolved.
Carwise Auto Sales has served this community for many years, and we take our legal and professional responsibilities seriously. We will allow the evidence and the proper legal process to establish the facts rather than litigating this matter through social media.
What we will not accept are threats of violence against our employees, our family, or our property. We respectfully ask the public not to draw conclusions from incomplete footage or one-sided accounts while this matter is pending.
