Flag Day is officially observed each year on June 14th, we are proudly celebrating on Saturday, June 13th and Monday, June 15th across all Mills locations.
Today, we honor the Stars and Stripes — a powerful symbol of our nation’s unity, freedom, and resilience. Adopted by the Continental Congress in 1777, the American flag has stood for nearly 250 years as a reminder of the sacrifices made and the values that continue to guide our country.
The flag’s 13 red and white stripes represent the original thirteen colonies, and the 50 white stars in the blue canton represent each state in our union. As our nation has grown, the flag has evolved — but its meaning remains the same: freedom, unity, and the pursuit of a more perfect union.
