2005 Acura NSX glam shots.

This rig came in covered in holograms and fallout damage. Mid-2000s Honda clear is notoriously soft and thin. As an extra bonus, this car runs a mix of single-stage lacquer and base/clear. Honda red shows every defect almost as brutally as black.

Where Testarossa paint will kill you with a knife in the back, this stuff kills you with poison. Easy to burn, hard edges everywhere, aluminum panels that heat cycle instantly, and acid-etch damage that tempts you to chase it like a rainbow with a pot of doom at the end.

No ceramic this time. This paint needed deep, rich oils to hydrate, revive, and bring back that formula red glow.

Precision leveling, careful refinement, and a finish built to respect what the clearcoat had left to give.

Think we’re suddenly all Testarossas and show queens? Nah. We’ll wrestle a Highlander straight outta the “auto-wash-mom-bomb” apocalypse.

✔️ Deep-embedded dirt.
✔️ Heavy swirls.
✔️ Rotary-burn from whoever tried before me.
✔️ Dog claw scratches. Kid claw scratches. Life scratches.
✔️ Panels that looked like they lost a knife fight in a Target parking lot.

And you know what? Ain’t nothin’ but a thing.

We brought it back clean, crisp, glossy, and respectable for our good friends over at Twisted Wrench.

The door sills on the 2006 Ford GT40 are made of stainless steel and coated with a very thin, very hard layer of clear coat. This presents an interesting challenge; balancing the right level of aggression with delicateness to get the best result possible without “burning”* through the thin clear coat, especially along the edges. And, with a single sill costing ~$1,600, reconditioning without damage is key.

This is a prime example of finesse, resulting in not a “like new” finish, but a finish that’s exceptional for a 20-year-old driver’s car.

*Burning paint is when polishing or buffing is too aggressive, gets too hot, and literally burns off the panel, causing permanent damage and requiring replacement or repaint.

This 2019 Mercedes E53 AMG is a masterpiece and was a pleasure to clean (even in 32⁰). This rig was given a full interior with leather package and exterior sealant to top the PPF and ceramic previously applied.
