Factory paint is thinner than most people realize, and the front of a Super Duty takes the worst of it. Rock chips, love bugs, road debris, and Florida sun all working on it every single mile.

Things I didn't have on my bingo card this week: volunteering my own arm as a demo car. 😅

A customer asked how we trim paint protection film without cutting the paint underneath. My installer's answer? He laid a piece of film on MY arm and made the cut. One straight pass, film separates clean, skin untouched.

That's the exact cut he makes on your hood, bumper, and fenders. The blade only ever goes as deep as the film. And trust me, I was watching VERY closely. If I'll put my arm under his blade, you can put your paint under it.

Busy week at the shop! 🚗 Here's what we've got in: a BMW X5 M getting full-body paint protection film, ceramic coatings on a Nissan, Palisade and Honda, plus window tint on an Audi. Living in Florida, that windshield UV/IR film is a game-changer. It blocks 99% of UV and about 90% of the heat, and you can't even tell it's there. Every pattern computer-cut for a flawless fit. Another day, another car being protected by
-Paint Protection Film 🛡️

We put PPF on the most obvious parts that need protecting to include
-Full hood
-Full fenders
-Full bumper
-Mirrors

We then ceramic coated the remaining painted surfaces and the PPF to make the car super easy to wash and maintain

We finished off the protection by tinting all side windows and the front windshield to keep the driver and interior protected ☀️

I’m super sad to come on here and tell everyone that Brodie passed away recently.

It’s made a hole in my family’s life both professionally and personally.

My kids and wife both loved him, he was always so great with them.

He always had my back from garage detailing, to mobile detailing, into a shop, I’ll miss him very much.

I know he played a huge part in all of my customers experiences with Polished and I’ve had to tell this story on repeat the last few weeks.

The team voted to stay working and stay together so we have been doing that. The next time you stop by checkout our new office and you will see a photo from our last customer party with Brodie front and center.

For now we appreciate all the support and love that you can give us as we continue to navigate this.
