Locally-owned storage company, seeking Assistant/Relief Manager. Weekends are required in this position (Saturday 8am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm), with one weekend off per month. Will also be scheduled to work one or two weekdays, 8am-6pm. No evenings/nights!

After training, likely schedule would be Friday through Monday, or Thursday through Sunday.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

- Renting storage units
- Collecting rent payments
- Selling boxes & moving supplies
- Acting as Penske truck rental agent (checking trucks in/out, booking reservations, occasionally driving trucks short distance to fuel and rearrange on lot)
- Basic property/office upkeep (cleaning, pulling weeds, etc.)
- Answering customer questions (in-person, on phone, and via e-mail)
- Light security - walking halls and property twice daily
- Maintaining accuracy & confidentiality of tenant records.
- Storage/property management experience not required. Our focus is customer service, so we consider retail, call center, and hospitality to be very valuable experience!

Successful candidates will:

- Show up! Once trained, you'll mostly be working independently to cover manager days off, so being reliable is a must.
- Have the ability to work a full shift, opening AND closing office, on the days working. - Our hours are 8-6 Monday-Friday, 8-5 Saturday, and 11-4 Sunday. (Again, weekends are a requirement.)
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Have, at minimum, basic computer skills.
- Successfully manage an environment that can have lengthy periods of down-time as well as times that are super busy and fast-paced.
- Have a valid Driver's License, and be comfortable or willing to learn to be comfortable working with our moving trucks.
- Exhibit professionalism in appearance and communication.
- Be willing to take ownership of and pride in the property - cleaning included.

Compensation is hourly and bi-weekly, starting between $10 and $11 per hour, along with a monthly bonus (based on leasing, box sales, and truck rentals).
