Do you fall under the federal DOT requirements, or the Kansas KDOT DOT requirements
or both?

We will soon be posting some short videos to help inform companies of the difference between the federal DOT inspections regulations and the Kansas DOT inspection requirements known as KDOT.
Many local companies I'm finding, are familiar with the federal regulations for DOT's but are unaware that Kansas has its own state laws and the companies are required to follow the KDOT regulations for Kansas.

This is very sad, a very similar insident happened a few years ago between Wichita and Hutchinson!!! Safety Chains and Emergency Breakaway braking systems really need to be check and in working order!!! Please please check them!!! DOT laws for the state of Kansas!!

This is really important for lawn care/Landscaping businesses!!

Required for all vehicles that are used for business that are over 10,000 lbs. Need to have a commercial tag.

Vehicles and Trailers are required by the State to have Yearly DOT inspections!!

There are exceptions to requirements on needing to have a DOT #

Remember to make sure you are driving with the prober driver license class (A,B,C, or CDL)
