Even the small things matter …. Tough as it is to not make something super smooth and pretty - when you are recreating a missing peg for an antique table, you have to match the one that is there !!!
Luckily I had a few pieces of old hardwood flooring - perfect thickness and length - draw knife and sharp chisels and a little sanding mimic the 100 year wear and tear look pretty close ….

Just dropped off from Joplin Missouri , by way of Bartlesville, OK - FINALLY found what looks like a pretty solid cab - and YEP, we are doing a 5 window conversion !!!!
Not sure I’ve seen a 5 window Cab Over Chevy - Time to start UN- Chopping this 48 Chevy COE

Alright fellow car guys and gals - On the hunt for a clean 47-54 Chevrolet AD Truck cab - prefer with decent door tops as well, but it has to be decent and clean from the body line below the windshield all the way to the top of the cab, no real rust issues. small stuff I am not sweating - Just has to be better than this cab, I cut the roof off and it pretty much started to crumble .... needless to say, I am not putting that on anything ....

Went and picked up the parts cab for a customer’s 48 Chevy COE - just gotta decide on trying to repair the bad chop or trying to make it stock height again ….. we allllll know my opinion- Chop it and Drop it !!!!

Been busy trying to section the side steps by 5 inches , slick em out and body work them, just to prime, paint - patina and beat up to match the rest of the original paint on the 48 Chevy COE - fabricated removable floor pan sections, lower firewall and engine cover, body worked, primed and sprayed with bedliner, covered them in sound deadener/ insulation- still gotta figure out a hood latch setup, then grab the other cab to determine if I am fixing the chop or putting a need roof on it at stock height ….

Part of antique restoration is going step by step to figure out what is wrong , my friend Stacey asked me to see about fixing this beautiful hobnail milk glass, hurricane lamp - turned out to be a wire had came off of the socket - cord probably got pulled, checked wiring, all good- I installed a killer vintage flamed textured light bulb for the right effect - been plugged in for over an hour - checked it about 20 times, works like a charm …. Now back to the shop to do bodywork….
