Memorial Day Weekend in Pennsylvania means two things are guaranteed: somebody named Chad is gonna try doing 93 in a 55 because “the roads looked clear,” and a State Trooper is gonna materialize out of absolutely nowhere like a tactical woodland ninja with a radar gun and unfinished coffee.

Doesn’t matter if it’s pouring rain, foggy, sunny, or if you’re the only car on the highway for 14 miles… they’re there. Hidden behind a guardrail, emerging from the mist like a side quest boss. Chad thought he was headed to the lake with his Oakleys and gas station beef jerky. Nope. He’s currently explaining to Trooper Rick why his inspection sticker “basically just expired.”

Pennsylvania State Police don’t take Memorial Day Weekend off. They wait for it.

Dare Devil Derkum and his 1908 Indian Factory Racer broke 10 speed records at a 1 mile track in Los Angeles-fastest time for a flying mile, 2 miles, 3 miles etc right up to 10 miles! Nicknamed the Monkey on a Stick,for their distinct rearward set-back saddles and torpedo fuel tanks for a special stretched out look the 1908 was a thing of beauty! Long Live Motorcycle History!
