As I've posted a few times in the past, I periodically get in turbos that were originally build elsewhere, and if worth rebuilding, I'll build and sell them. That's typically the only time I'll have something in stock, as for the most part I just build to order.

Today I have a set of TD04-16T.
Price is $1149 exchange, shipped to the lower 48.

I'm also in the middle of a set of billet TD04-15G that will be the same price when finished. No pics of those yet as they're still in many pieces.

I ended up owning a set of old school DR650s. The original HT10 compressor wheels for these have been unobtainium for years, but I've been able to source some billet replacement wheels. Got them rebuilt and they're up for sale. Price is $1649 exchange, and includes shipping to the lower 48.

Customer wanted a 20T set, and opted to have some ceramic coating done. He also wanted his mods to be somewhat incognito...

I realized that along with my habit of neglecting this page for months at a time, I've been neglecting to highlight a lot of the work being done... (admittedly, the turbos are of most interest to my online audience)

So here's my latest venture into Jurassic Park:

Customer is restoring his 79 K5 Blazer. Wanted me to rebuild the transmission and transfer case. Still do a few TH350s periodically, but it had been at least 30 years since I've seen a NP203 T/case. (79 was literally the last year they were made)

Got a couple sets of DR650 that I purchased and repaired/rebuilt...

The first set is the new style billet that were originally purchased without the 9 blade turbine upgrade (so they're a clipped 12 blade L wheel)
The second set I've listed before, but for some reason still have... They're older version that were built with the HT10 wheels, that I repaired with billet wheels

Both sets I've priced the same at $1649 shipped, exchange. (that's a $50 price drop on the original listed price for the older versions)

This one is a set of old school DR650s. (The original version with the HT10 wheels) They quit building these because the wheels became unobtainium, but I was able to repair these by sourcing some billet HT10 wheels, so they got a little upgrade along with the repair...

Periodically I end up with some turbo cores that are previously built/upgraded by someone else and need to be rebuilt. I've acquired two such sets that I finished yesterday, and have ready to ship immediately. They're priced to sell, and no waiting for me to build something.

The first set is a set of TD04-15G that were built from non MHI cores. They're $999 exchange.

Second set are TD04L-19T. They're $1299 exchange.

I've been pondering lately if I wanted to jump into the Black Friday/Cyber Monday thing... Never really participated before, but I know people do enjoy a snagging a bargain. In order to offer a deep enough deal to make it really attractive , I will have to limit the scale...
What I decided to do was offer a 15% discount on my build to order custom 3S turbo sets. Being as I'm only willing to dedicate a certain amount of shop time to building turbos, and my margin is already tight on them, I'm going to limit the deal to six sets. Ship dates will be 2-4 weeks, first come first served. The first orders will be built and shipped first. I will take orders for this deal starting immediately and through the end of the month (one week window)

Most sets can add billet compressor wheels for +$150 (20T set is billet only already) I have the Drweldin wastegate upgrades for available for $175 installed.

All turbos are sold on an exchange basis. If you have cores to send and arrive before I ship, there's no reason for a core charge. If you need to wait and send cores later, you can pay a refundable $200 core charge.

Built a set of turbos this week that aren't on my normal lineup of common units... I think I'm going to start building more of them if the demand is there.
Had a customer pondering what turbos he wanted, thought he needed more than the TD04-13T, but was unconvinced he needed the 16T or larger. I suggested a TD04L-15T, as it's just about in the middle size wise. This customer chose billet compressor wheels, and I went with an 11 blade turbine to keep his spool quick while still flowing a bit more than the 12 blade.

Seems I've made a habit of waiting way too long to post on my page... Yes I'm still alive, and working on cars... 😁

Been in the new shop for just about a year... It's crazy time goes by so fast. Hasn't been easy trying to get set up and make a living doing it. Realized I'd been there a year, and wasn't even fully moved in yet... Still tripping over boxes of stuff on the floor that hadn't even been unpacked. Decided I need to dedicate more time to organizing and streamlining the shop. Hopefully the time invested will show returns in efficiency and workflow. I do know it will absolutely help my state of mind and attitude, so that makes it worth it if nothing else...

My first task a couple weeks ago was to build 12 more feet of my giant shelf. That was a huge help. Got almost all the random stuff off the floor and put away, I was able to move a workbench, Cut better access doorways in the divider wall between the two halves of the shop, and overall make it a much nicer work environment.

I've noticed a definite downturn in the turbo orders I'm getting... Not hurting for work, as I have plenty of transmission work, general repair work, and build projects to keep me busy, but I genuinely enjoy building the turbos, and would love to kick that portion of my business up a bit... I blame it mostly on my own lack of engagement on social media. Since I don't advertise in any way, if I'm not out there posting, new potential clients won't know I exist...

So if you need or want upgraded turbos for your 3000GT or Stealth, My specialty is building upgrade units within the factory housings. The most common turbos I build are TD04-13T, (mild upgrade that works well on otherwise stock cars, but can give you some room to grow also) TD04L-16T, (mid level upgrade that will make some really nice power, and if really pushed, could top out the suggested limits of a stock lower end) and the billet TD04HL-20T. (The big power choice if you're looking for the most you can push from the stock housing turbos)
