Trailers, campers, and customers will come and go, but some stay with us longer than others.
The Pleasure Way Camper Van from Saskatchewan was brought to us last October by Phil from Schleswig, our very first camper van. Phil asked us to go through everything in preparation for the adventures he had planned, sharing memorable stories during his visits to the shop.
In December, we received a call from Phil while he was in the hospital. The news was difficult, it was cancer. We assured him his camper was safe and would remain with us until he was ready to return. We tucked it away in our personal storage, where it stayed through the winter.
In February, we learned that Phil had passed away. Sad, we kept the camper in storage until we were able to connect with his wife, Pat.
Pat shared that the travels for the camper will continue as she plans to head south next month.
Today, we said goodbye to the camper, and to a piece of Phil’s story we were honored to hold.
