We are delighted to see this vessel go to a new owner. This marked the first time we had ever put it in the water. After a couple of years of work in our spare time, between jobs, and with the help of our close friends, we finally completed the work on our 26 foot Paramount harbor launch. The video demonstrates the outcome, and we are extremely satisfied with the results. (We have all the cushions; they were omitted to prevent damage from wind or rain)

We were successfully able to tow a beached sport boat off the sand and back into it's natural habitat this morning.
Special thanks to Anne for taking her surfboard from our boat to the beach( while carrying the paracord line we used to pull the tow line out to the beached vessel with. )
Also special thanks to the guy the other boat for giving us the extra little pull to make that operation easier.

It was a pretty smooth operation with all the help and support we got from everyone, and thanks to Ian and Mike for backing us up on the beach.
Good job everyone!

We pulled the Port's old work boat out of the water for the first time in 15 something years. Kind of cool old navy launch, apparently this type of hull is used commonly for charter and fishing boats due to the robust nature of its construction.
(Couple of buddies saved all the starfish and weird eel lookin things they could and returned them to the marina. If anyone wants to save the truckload of mussels that inhabit the bottom of this fine vessel...., they are certainly welcome to. )
We can probably get the old 471 Detroit diesel started if we mess with it long enough, an old wise guy once told me those engines are too stupid to do anything but run... he hasn't exactly been wrong.
If anyone thinks they need this thing in their lives.... Drop a comment, one one of us will do our best to talk you into it.

Also a bunch of pictures of boats we've dove on and various other things BlueThumb related.

Things are starting to pick back up for BlueThumb Marine LLC. Things have been a little slow but we always seem to find something to do.
The last few months have been filled with random mechanical jobs and various dives on lots of different boats.
The Cavidyne (our underwater boat cleaning system) has been working as advertised and now has a few hours on it.
I haven't taken near the pictures I should have, but I do have a few to share at least.
We hope for fair winds and following seas to all our crabber buddies..... Don't forget to call us for a line cut!

We did a thing!
After a relatively rough roll engineering on a salmon tender in Alaska Josh and I were able to afford a tool we've wanted for awhile. ....The Caviblaster.....
This unit is supposed to be able to clean pretty much anything underwater, it uses witchcraft and science to make bubbles that act like a bead blaster of sorts that is able to blast away heavy marine buildup. Also, instead of using high water pressure like a normal pressure washer it uses high water volume to blow away all the bits of sea growth and any other unwanted creatures taking up residents on your boat or dock. It's apparently safe for wooden boats, rope, nets, and doesn't damage gel coat or bottom paint.
It was pretty much the only thing we found that works and works well on the market after a couple years of looking. All I have to say is.... for what I cost it better be amazing.
We appreciate your business and hope to use our new toy to service your boat and the rest of the fleet.

Don't hesitate to message or call us, we gotta pay for this thing. Lol.

Here in Westport there is a place on the docks where you can buy fresh seafood among the fishing boats who likely caught much of it. It's run by friendly hard working people who know their seafood.
Unfortunately the Seafood Connection storage barge sank along with freezers of fish, smokers, crab cookers, shelves of supplies and all of the things one would need to run an operation as such.
(The main float house they sell out of is fine)
Josh, David (from express diving) and myself worked late into the night to raise the barge back fully to the surface. We thought that this would be an easy job considering that only half of it sank and the other half was hanging off the dock.... It was bit more challenging then we had first thought. Nighttime operations can be dangerous and we try to avoid operating in those conditions normally, but we felt it was important to get the job done in this case.

Been a bit of a slow cold winter here at BlueThumb Marine global headquarters, despite this Josh has been enjoying brisk dips in the marina doing line cuts, prop replacements, and zinc change outs. We have also been doing a little shop welding and have been helping out with the Ocosta after school program. It has been rewarding to see students lay their first welds and take an interest in diving and salvage work.
Hope everyone stays safe this crab season, if you get some line in your wheel give us a call.
