Nobody likes road construction. Unfortunately, it's a necessary evil to prevent things like this. This vehicle came into contact with a large pot hole, causing severe damage to the tire, wheel, and suspension. Luckily there was no personal injury resulting from the incident.

Just a friendly reminder, to drive with caution in work zones this summer...and avoid those pot holes. They can cause a bunch of damage.

The only instrument I am capable of playing is the radio. With that said, I never had the privilege of being in Mr. Finnegan's classroom. Even without being in band, even though he didn't even start teaching at DCE before I graduated high school, the man still had a positive impact on my life, and the lives of countless others.

He is the type of individual who truly cares about everyone. His students, his family, complete strangers, everybody. If you see him, please wish him well on the next step in his journey.

Turning music into memories for 36.5 years without missing a beat. Congratulations on your retirement.

Today is not a day to recognize servicemen and women who are living. It is to honor those brave individuals who gave their lives defending this great nation. They raised their right hand and took and oath to defend our country against all enemies, foreign and domestic, at all costs.

"Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices. Because of these sacrifices, the dawn of justice and freedom throughout the world slowly casts its gleam across the horizon."

President Harry Truman

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there. Thank you for all you do. For picking us up when we fall, for wiping our butts, and for loving us even when we do dumb stuff.

Back in the Pac-Man days, you at least got to put your initials in when you got the high score. At this point they're just making up numbers and putting them on the sign.

On the plus side, Glazers were on sale for $2.99.

This week is National Youth Apprenticeship week. A partnership between schools, students, employers, and Wisconsin department of workforce development. The program allows students to earn while they learn combining classroom instruction with on the job training.

Meet Devin. He is our Youth apprentice here at Patriot Auto Repair. Devin is in his second year with us, and is building his skills at a rapid rate. Devin is a senior at DC Everest high school. He is enrolled at Northcentral Technical College in the fall, to continue his automotive education.

We are proud to be able to mentor this young man and watch his skill set grow. Programs like this are a great opportunity for tomorrow's workforce to dip their feet into a career, and get a head start on building their future.

Test don't guess. Replacing parts based on codes alone is never a good practice. This vehicle came to us with check engine light, and an electric solenoid fault. The circuits were tested and found to be open electrically when measuring from the engine computer to the solenoid. The solenoid lives underneath the intake manifold, which requires engine disassembly in order to fully test the system.

Authorization was obtained from the customer to remove the intake manifold for further testing. Removal revealed rodent damage to the wiring harness. The solenoid itself was tested and the resistance is within speciation. The harness is the faulty component here. The harness was replaced and this one will be back on the road, warning light free.

The power of mother nature is remarkable. The power of a tight knit, caring community is incredible. A big shout out to all of those who didn't hesitate to help in this time of need.

Complete strangers, coming from all over, to do whatever they can to help. Donating items, showing up with equipment, picking up debris, clearing roads, running chainsaws, even opening their own homes to others.

This is what community is all about. Loving and helping one another. It doesn't matter if they have blonde hair or purple hair. If you've known them for twenty years or never met them in your life. People helping people.

Thank you to all of those who have helped. There is still a lot of work to be done. We haven't crossed the finish line yet. Let's keep this momentum going and rebuild together, stronger.
