One of the most helpful things you can bring us when identifying bearings, seals, sprockets, collars, and other parts is:
✔️ The old part
✔️ The shaft size
Even badly worn, rusted, or broken parts can still give us valuable clues.
But when numbers are missing or the part is too damaged to measure accurately, knowing the shaft size helps us narrow things down much faster.
No micrometer?
A few simple tricks:
Use an adjustable wrench
See if a standard wrench fits snug
Measure the wrench opening with a tape measure afterward
It may not be perfect, but it gives us a great starting point.
And remember — even if you’re unsure, bring in whatever pieces you have. We’ll do our best to help figure it out.
That’s what we’re here for.
