From Street Racer to Family Heirloom 🏎️✨
"This ain't a trailer queen. I drive it every other Sunday on a sunny Sunday afternoon."
For Chip Melendez, his love for muscle cars started in mechanic school, but it was this Camaro—which he found when he was just 19 years old—that truly stole his heart. From dominating the Chicago street racing scene as a teenager (including an unforgettable $50 quarter-mile win against a 454 El Camino) to being fully restored for the open road, this car has done it all.
Now, the street racing days are in the past. Today, it's all about the pure joy of driving—and passing that passion down to the next generation. With his grandson already claiming it as "Papa's car," this journey is truly coming full circle.
