Another one back home!

Delivered this beautiful custom Ghia home to its owner after sorting out a clutch issue as well as some fuel delivery issues.

This was our first delivery using our new auto transporter, and we are really looking forward to being able to safely move cars to and from for our customers.

This is what it’s all about!

Andy Krishak from AC2 Aircooled - specializing in vintage VW car repair/restoration recommended our shop Deno’s Garage to a wonderful couple that were closer to us than them by several hours.

They had a 1973 Volkswagen thing affectionately named “Henry” that they bought brand new from Steuben motors in York PA the year they got married, 53 years ago!

After only putting 37,000 miles on it, it fell into a state of disrepair in 1989 and was placed into a garage.

Out of sight and out of mind, life happened, children got older and graduated grade school, and then college, the world entered the technological age with the Internet in all of its chaos and eventually couple would find themselves in a quiet retirement… and there was Henry, steadfast, awaiting a chance to get back on the road.

After a thorough mechanical restoration and some rust repair, we were so excited to get Henry back on the road, and it was an honor to participate in writing the prologue that will be a great hurrah for this wonderful couple!

We also found one of the original keys with the code tag still attached wire tied to the back of the engine when we removed it, we made a little shadowbox with that, a dealer emblem, and a little cartoon of Henry the comic strip character the car is named after. Thanks Mike Hanyi for the artwork.

What’s better than one 1960 Indian red VW beetle ?

Two!

Mr Duke Bryer stopped by with his stunning restoration to get some pictures with a customer’s mostly original 60 bug.

A very rare color, on two lovely cars.

A Beautiful 1960 Indian red beetle bought new by Dard Hunter, an American expert on paper craft and Early graphic design, his work has been featured in this Smithsonian Institution and recognized worldwide as one of the founders of the “arts and crafts movement”.

Bought new in 1959, this car has only had three owners, including Mr. Hunter himself.

The car needed a few odds and ends, and got it running tiptop.

With a blistering 36 hp, it’s always fun working on these older ones!
