When we started building PanoramiX, I heard it all:
“Why not just make it plastic?”
“Make it cheaper.”
“Good enough is good enough.”
“They’ll never know the difference.”
“Just give people discount codes to promote it.”
“Why are you making this so complicated?”
“Who cares what kind of glass it is?”
“Just ship it and make money.”
But I cared.
I’ve owned Jeeps for 20 years. I wasn’t trying to figure out the cheapest thing I could sell Jeep owners.
I wanted to figure out how much we could give them while still keeping it affordable.
Because the installation process is still the installation process.
So if I’m cutting into a perfectly good Jeep hardtop, why wouldn’t I put the best material I can over my family’s head?
Real laminated automotive safety glass.
Real UV protection.
Real solar control and heat rejection.
Not because everyone will understand the difference.
Because I know the difference.
And when I became a dad, that mattered even more.
My goal was never to build something only wealthy Jeep owners could afford.
It was to build something a regular Jeep owner like me could actually have — and still refuse to settle for “good enough.”
Because whether it’s your Jeep, your kids or the people sitting beside you…
Sometimes doing it right is the whole point.
