This Yukon came in with a ticking noise. No check engine light, no codes, so Devon went hunting the old way, with a stethoscope to help track down where the noise was coming from. Valve covers off, and there it was: the rocker arm on cylinder 2 with way more play than it should have. Pushrod checked out fine, so the problem was deeper, a hydraulic lifter on its way out. That's why the whole cylinder head is coming off next.
One little tick. Sometimes it takes you pretty far into an engine.

We have a mystery. 🧐

For years, we’ve been finding old bottles, jars and all kinds of other things around the Turner property. We’ve accumulated quite the collection—and recently we finally started asking the obvious question:

Why are all of these here?!

So we’ve started researching the bottles and the history of the property to see what we can figure out. Some we’ve been able to identify. Others… not so much. 😂

And now we’re wondering if some of you might know something we don’t.

Anybody in Webster or Penfield know anything about the history of this area—or remember what was here before Turner?

We’re going to keep sharing what we find as we dig into the mystery.

Somebody brought their car in for something that had nothing to do with brakes. Not a squeak, not a complaint, nothing. But we don't just fix the one thing and send you on your way, we poke around while it's up, because that's how we'd want someone treating our own cars.

And we found this.

The one on the left is what was left of their brake pad. The one on the right is what a brake pad is supposed to look like. Yeah. We all kind of stood there for a second.

The customer had no idea. Brake wear can happen so gradually that you don’t always realize how far it’s gone until somebody gets a good look.

That’s one of the reasons we pay attention to the whole vehicle while it’s here—not just the one thing you came in for.
