Your windshield does a lot more than block the wind. It is a critical component of your vehicle’s safety restraint system.
Most people do not realize that in a crash, the passenger-side airbag deploys upward first, slamming into the glass before it bounces back to protect the passenger. The windshield acts as a massive backstop, absorbing thousands of pounds of pressure in a split second.
If the adhesive holding your windshield in place hasn't had the proper time to cure and bond with the frame, that airbag force can literally pop the entire piece of glass right out of the car. If that happens, the airbag cannot deploy correctly.
When I tell you your car needs to sit for a specific "Safe Drive-Away Time" after a replacement, it is not an arbitrary rule. It is strict chemistry designed to ensure your structural integrity is 100% solid before you put your family fleet back on the road.
We never cut corners on your safety.
