My customer took his boat to "unnamed marine" which is certified for Mercury service and had this terrible bellows job done. I feel bad for him, they messed up at every turn! People out there take your time and do the job the right way, stop cutting corners!! There were 5 mistakes made on a $1650 bellows service job and they caused his boat to take in water through gimbal bearing and inside shift cable, installed the shift cable incorrectly and tightened the shift cable incorrectly causing his engine to stall occasionally, ruin the new shift cable, ruin the new gimbal bearing, installed the wrong exhaust bellows so the engine was noticeably louder to the customer,, rust his ujoint assembly on a brand new outdrive and not properly cool the engine, billed him for an extra exhaust bellows piece not even needed, didn't do the trim senders which should be done with the transom service ...
