I’m not even sure I have the right words for what this week meant to me. ❤️
I am beyond grateful to have received a scholarship to attend the JM&A and WIA Career Advancement Program. I came excited to learn, but I’m leaving inspired, challenged, motivated and with my cup FULL.
Sometimes I have to remind myself where I started — a first-generation American who knew absolutely NOTHING about cars, starting as a service greeter. I just kept showing up, learning, asking questions and saying yes to opportunities that scared me. Somehow that greeter became a Service Director… and hopefully I’m still just getting started.
Hearing Maria Moncada Alaoui, Megan Dolan, Adrienne Bono and Dr. Scott Livingston share their experiences this week truly shifted something in me. And Adrienne… The Queen of the South!! 👑 I related to her in so many ways. Meeting her made me think differently about what could be next for me. Truly an inspiration.
Thank you Heather McFadden, Heather Wilkinson, Kristina DiSpigna and everyone at JM&A who made this opportunity possible. You three women created such an incredible environment this week and pushed us to dive deep.
And to the incredible women I got to experience this program alongside you were just as much a part of what made this week so special. The conversations, laughs, vulnerability, support and connections we made are something I hope we carry far beyond this program. I truly hope this is just the beginning of those relationships.
More than anything, this week reminded me how powerful it is when women genuinely want other women to succeed sharing what they’ve learned, opening doors and reaching back to bring someone else with them.
