The 33nd Annual Prairie Arts Festival is a greatly anticipated event for West Point and the surrounding communities! in West Point's beautiful historic downtown. Prairie Arts is a celebration of community…local food, fun for all ages, a 5k run, classic car show, stages with live music and the best artists and craftsmen the south has to offer! With over 400 exhibitors, this festival has been a trad

ition since 1978. The Prairie Arts Festival has been recognized for twelve straight years as one of the “Top Ten Events” according to the Southeastern Tourism Association. As one of the largest arts and crafts festivals in the country, Prairie Arts attracts crowds of more than 25,000.

PAF 2011 is going to be amazing. Here are detials! Commerce St is full of arts & crafts, metal yard art, folk art, jewelry, purses and cute clothes. The park is full of paintings, tin can flowers, birdhouses, and great patio furnture made out of old window panes and doors. The food court has greek food, corndogs, and fried snickers. Kid's Town has, for the first time ever a mechanical bull. Any questions? See everybody Saturday, the next best day in West Point, after Christmas and your bday!

It's the day before the day before Prairie Arts Festival, who's getting excited? This is a reminder to get your Howlin Wolf Blues tickets for Friday night. if you haven't gotten them yet...Gates open at 4 p.m. and the show starts at 5 p.m. I hear it's going to be a great show! ~It's a great way to start the weekend!

Prairie Arts Festival has more than just great art ~ Start your day off running in the annual 5K race. Registration starts at 7:00 Saturday morning and the race begins at 8:00 a.m. sharp. Or get ahead of the game and pre-register at The Growth Alliance for a discounted fee. The prize awards are pretty cool (handmade by Persnickety Pottery) and the tshirts look great too.

If there were ever a Rich's Folk Art ju**ie we would be it ~ Billy and Kathy Rich from Byhalia, MS have been coming to PAF for years in the same spot on the Street, booth # 26, across from City Hall.
