The 1971 Porsche 911 restoration has begun. First we will remove all the glass. Windshield, rear window, side quarter windows then the door glass. This allows greater access to components especially the dash.

One of the most important aspects of any concours is to acquire the correct books, tools and jack for your vehicle. Here we see the concours correct pouch and books for the 74’ USA Dino. Most books and tools are specific by year country designation. Along with the books we have the correct tool pouch and all the correct hand tools. Tools and books are very difficult to acquire these days and are also extremely expensive.

#07916 continues to take shape. Here you can see the period restored fuel pump system and correct yellow/crème textured fuel tanks. Pictured is also the Air Conditioning system compressor and heat exchanger with a very tight fit beside the passenger side fuel tank. All correct hardware and details for each system.

This Velox Speed 246 Dino Restoration of #05518 Was Featured On The Cover of Cavallino Magazine May 2017. We hope to duplicate this success at Cavallino next weekend With chassis # 07916.

When we restore our gauges we do it properly. Each Guage gets completely stripped and refurbished. Each Guage gets a new crystal glass face and recalibration. We do it right. At Velox Speed when we restore we do it correctly. We do every single nut and bolt. Every single spring, bearing, washer, wire and rivet.

Moving forward with the wiring. We install the correct mouse hair covered dash. When we received the car the dash was covered in a smooth satin black almost fleece like material. The dash has been completely stripped and properly covered with the correct Mouse Hair material. We then begin to run the harness and wire ends to their correct positions as we plan to install the radio, switches, warming lights etc.
