Rugged Red RV & Solar

This was a very unique install! The customer wanted a custom cabinet built into his toy hauler to house all of his solar components and batteries. He worked closely with his cabinet builder using the dimensions of every piece of equipment — along with a whole lot of math — to make it all fit perfectly. The end result turned out absolutely beautiful!

For this build, we added:
☀️ An additional 3000 watts of solar to his factory 800 watts
🔋 1200Ah of Big Beard batteries at 24V
🔋 300Ah of Big Beard battery at 12V

This setup is ready for some serious off-grid camping!

Congratulations on your install, Don & Angela! We hope to see y’all out there enjoying that freedom on the road! We will see y’all down the road!

⚡ This is EXACTLY why we love our solar setup! ☀️

We were rolling down the road on a cloudy day and still pulling over 2,500 watts 🤯
Pulled into the campground to hang with friends… and didn’t even plug in.

Oh—and yes… laundry running on solar too 🧺⚡
Because freedom hits different when you’re not tied to shore power.

Whether you’re dreaming of full off-grid life or just want more flexibility and peace of mind, we’ve got you covered.

📲 Ready for more freedom? Reach out to us — we’d love to help you build the right system for your rig.

Another happy customer and another solar install in the books! ☀️🚐

Lynn and Alain aren’t your typical boondockers — they simply wanted more freedom. Freedom to take overnight and day trips without worrying about running their A/C or being tied to hookups. And that’s exactly what this upgrade delivered.

We upgraded their solar from 370W to 1,870W, added a single inverter, and installed 600Ah of batteries at 24V, giving their Brinkley a huge boost in usable power and peace of mind on the road.

Thank you, Lynn and Alain, for trusting Rugged Red RV Repair & Solar with your Brinkley. It was a pleasure building a system tailored to how you actually camp.

Here’s to quieter nights, cooler days, and a whole lot more flexibility! ☀️
