The 2005 Suzuki GSX-R1000 K5 is one of the most legendary generations in GSX-R history, remembered for its brutal performance, low weight and remarkably direct connection between rider and machine.

Its 999cc liquid-cooled inline-four produces around 160 HP and 108 Nm of torque, while the exceptionally light chassis gives the K5 an incredible power-to-weight ratio even by modern standards.

With its aluminium twin-spar frame, fully adjustable Showa suspension and powerful Tokico brakes, the K5 was engineered with one purpose: maximum superbike performance with minimal unnecessary weight.

Fast, raw and unmistakably mechanical, the 2005 GSX-R1000 K5 became an icon of the analogue superbike era — and nearly two decades later, it remains one of Suzuki’s most respected performance motorcycles.
