UPDATE: Both surgeries went well & recovery is progressing. AND DAVID OFFICIALLY RETIRED the week before Annette's 2nd surgery!

Good News, Sad News! This will be our final update to our David's Garage FB page BECAUSE, PRAISE GOD, Annette was just approved for her eye implant surgeries out of the blue!!! The sale transition has settled and after a year of fighting with the insurance companies her first surgery is scheduled for this week (5/7) with the second likely a quick 3 weeks later.
You have all been such an amazing group of friends & prayer warriors with us over the years so we'll ask one more time for your prayers as we navigate the next few weeks. (We've added a little more info about the surgery into the comments below for those that want to keep reading.) Just be aware that for the next several weeks her vision will actually be worse as she recovers, so it seemed like the right time to stop maintaining this page. David will definitely read her any comments you want to share here & likely will provide ya'll an update when he can.
We love & appreciate you all so very much! We will miss your kind words & often humorous banter (those of you who know us well understand how much we rely on God & a sense of humor to get through the "tough stuff") but many of you know where we live or how to reach us if you'd like to stay in touch so we look forward to that!! May God bless you & keep you all

We had a GREAT time with the teens & staff at Remembrance Ranch last weekend & there's no doubt they had an educationally fun time too (along with our Techs lol)! A big thank you to Trans Service Plus for agreeing to still host our annual Auto Skills workshop with RR when we had to schedule it for after the business sale/merger & for being excited to continue our historic partnership with them into the future.

IT'S OFFICIAL - MEET THE NEWLY EXPANDED "TRANS SERVICE PLUS DAVID'S GARAGE" TEAM!! (L to R: Allison, Jesse, David, Phil, Trevor, Josh) While our address & the phone numbers for both businesses will remain the same, we will discontinue monitoring this FB page in the near future so please like & follow the current Trans Service Plus Inc page to watch for future updates.

BIG NEWS!
David’s Garage, LLC is excited to announce our upcoming acquisition-merger with Trans Service Plus. While you may notice a few minor changes, we will remain in the same location, with all the same familiar and trusted people, but with a few new faces as well. The name of the business will be changing in April to Trans Service Plus David’s Garage. The merger of these two distinct skill sets & their combined knowledge will allow us to better serve more of our customers’ needs all under one roof.

Rest assured, David is committed to staying on indefinitely to continue doing what he loves – fixing cars! He will remain very involved in the day-to-day operations, customer interactions, and expanding on his skills in advanced technologies. Unfortunately, since Annette had to medically retire last year, the full burden of ownership & decision-making had fallen onto David, preventing him from working as much in the side of the business that he enjoys, so Phil from Trans Service Plus will be taking the reins as owner effective April 6, 2026. We have known, trusted & referred many of our customers to Phil & his staff for years. While it is bittersweet to see the end of our 19 years of ownership & efforts building this business from the ground up (literally it was a cornfield in 2007 lol), we are very confident we have chosen our ownership successor wisely as Phil has the same passions for God & caring for people that have guided us through our journey. We are looking forward to combining our talents & resources to create an even better customer experience for you all - allowing David to get back to a less stressful role, and be more active in the work that he loves!

We are so very thankful for the opportunities you have all given us to get to know you & help you with your vehicle needs over the years. We have been beyond blessed by our great God & we pray that this new path God is leading us down will allow us to continue to do so for many years to come!

UPDATE 10:53am: Consumers just changed our estimated restoration time from 10:30am to 4:15pm so likely we will be closed (with no phones) all day today now.

Power is still out at the shop this morning which means no phones either. We will be back in the shop as soon as power is restored (hopefully later this am per Consumers restoration estimate).

🥶🥶

While much of the country has been dealing with snow, ice, and freezing temperatures, Florida has officially stepped in to help… in the only way Florida knows how.

Fresh off the beach, a convoy of golf carts has answered the call. Surfboards repurposed as snow plows. Beach sand standing in for road salt. Drivers still wearing sunglasses because, well, it was 75 degrees five minutes ago.

If there’s one thing Floridians are good at, it’s confidence, even when completely unqualified.

As winter storms roll across the northern states, closing roads and knocking out power, Florida is rolling north with flip-flops, hoodies, and a can-do attitude. Are these “snow plows” effective? Questionable. Are they enthusiastic? Absolutely.

This is the same state that panics at 58 degrees, shuts down schools for frost, and considers a light jacket full winter gear. Yet somehow, we’re convinced we can help fix winter with golf carts and beach gear.

All jokes aside, if you’re in the storm’s path, stay safe and take the warnings seriously. Winter weather is no joke.

Florida will be cheering you on from the beach… and apparently, lending a hand too. 🌴❄️
