Insurance: “Can you pay the $700+ tow bill and take the truck?”

Me: “Sure… who’s the customer so I can get authorization?”

Insurance: “Never mind, it’s already at another shop.”

😂😂😂

So basically we were just looking for somebody with a checkbook?

A 14 year old truck that’s probably totaled, $700+ in towing/storage, no customer authorization, and somehow the body shop is supposed to just start writing checks.

Yeah… that’s not how this works. 😂

Every one of these spray-out cards is Toyota 1G3 — the SAME paint code.

This is why we spray test cards, compare variants, tint colors, and actually MATCH the vehicle before we paint it. 🎨

Paint code gets us in the neighborhood. Matching the car gets us to the right house.

Good news! Insurance approved the labor. Bad news… they’re paying $0.00 an hour. 😂

But hey, they did send a check for some cheap LKQ parts on a 2024 vehicle, so I guess somebody’s getting paid.

Just not the people actually fixing the car. 💀
