$45 per month, winter motorcycle storage.

Hey everyone, with the weather this evening and today, it’s got me thinking about motorcycle storage. We’ve had a lot of conversation in the shop about motorcycle storage, winter storage. We’d like to have a conversation with you.

If you need a home for your motorcycle over the winter. We are here for you. We are a heated and insured facility and you can drop it off anytime you like. In the spring you can pick it up anytime, when you’d like to pick it up give us a couple day notice and we will prep it and have it ready for you to pick it up.

Text the Shop or give us a call and leave a message. You can also go on our website and schedule a drop off through the scheduler. Whatever’s easiest for you and we’d like to accommodate. All makes and models are welcome.

Hey everyone, this is what a happy rider looks like. Having our customers feel this way means a great deal to us. We want everyone to have a smile and a positive experience. Nate is a first time customer and this is his first Harley and he’s put a boatload of miles on it this year. He had wide factory 47 bars on and felt like he didn’t have stability when riding or coming to a stop. This made him uncomfortable and understandably so. We hear the same thing over and over, bars that are too wide or too low, giving an instability issue… then going to a Tbar and changing their whole comfort and confidence because there’s so much more stable. So much more control. ( Kraus Motor Co. Tbar installed)

After this picture, Nate went out for a ride and 20 minutes later he came back into the shop with a smile, even bigger than the one in the photo. He raved about the experience of his ride. I feel so fortunate to be able to be a part of these experiences. Herm and I strive for everyone of our customers to feel this way regardless of the type of service we are performing.

God bless the motorcycle rider and his family, watch over them and help guide them through the dangers of the road. Watch over your friends and check in on those who you know are struggling. Lots of love to all of you! Stay strong and stay positive.

Some jobs or failures are beyond repair and you just have to pull the whole plant. That’s exactly what this one’s about, out with the catastrophic and in with the brand new. The motor that came out had a turbo on it and it is going to get the same thing put back on except with a little different combination and a different tune. If it wasn’t for the holes in the pistons and the debris that got down into the bottom end, we would’ve salvaged the original motor. In this case, he just figured he’d better start with something new. We could’ve repaired it, however the dollar amount would’ve been significantly different.

Keep in mind we have winter storage and we already have some bikes coming in. A lot of times the fall riding season is the nicest of the year and for those you who wanna ride out the season till the very end we will be here for you. Send us a text or a voicemail or email or schedule on our website and will be here for you. Get your services and your maintenance or performance bills done in the winter. It’ll save your time during riding season, riding season is for riding in general maintenance not for repairing. Check your tires and know when your last service was. Be ready in the spring.

There are 22 wheel weights on this rear wheel assembly. That’s crazy! This bike had a new tire put on recently, it was done somewhere else. He brought it in because the tire kept going flat and we found that the tube was installed wrong. Upon fixing it, of course we balance all the assemblies and found 22 wheel weights on there.

Be careful out there, watch out for the four wheels… they’re always trying to run you over.

Hey everyone, today we had our first storage Bike come in for the 26-27 winter season. (that kind of tasted like vomit, saying winter season) This is bittersweet as I don’t wanna let go of summer, AT ALL, but as all things keep moving forward so does the seasons.

I want to thank Blaze for bringing in his bad ass Harley Davidson Road Glide with a sick turbo on it.

Over the winter. We might have to put a wide tire front on this bad boy! I think that would finish off this bike. What are you guys think? How many of you have ridden a wide tire front? I love them and I think it really adds to the ride.

Hey everyone, we are two weeks into September. The days and the months just keep ticking away… before we know there’s gonna be snow on the ground and I hope a bunch of you will be bringing your motorcycle in for storage. UFTA did I just say storage and snow in the same sentence 🤦🏻‍♂️, don’t be mad and take it out on mother nature, but it’s inevitable. School is in session and Friday night lights are in full swing.

This time of year it gets a bit more challenging at the shop. The reason for that is it it’s a season of the broken, a lot of the bikes have been ridden hard all year long and limp along trying to make the whole season, but you know how that goes. It eventually catches up with you just like everything else. Preventative maintenance is the key. Fix things before you get into a jam. Regardless of this, we will be here to help out.

Even though it’s the season of the broken, we have the full range of things we’re doing, performance jobs, motor rebuilds, Dyno tuning, tire and oil changes and of course, repairing the broken. Soon we’re gonna see harvest equipment out on the roads, this presents a dangerous situation for motorcycles and and anyone out on the road. Be careful of the beat trucks and anything else that might be out there operating and trying to bring their crops in. Be kind to each other and watch out for the four wheels… they are looking to kill you!! The deer are being pushed around because of harvest time and they are looking to kill you also. Be careful if you’re riding at night as we have had a lot of insurance claims for people hitting deer. Be careful, your life is on the line and your family needs you.

Hey everyone, it’s back to school for most of us… But it doesn’t change what’s going on here at the shop. What has changed is it’s the season of the broken type of repair. Every year the hard riding of summer takes its toll on motorcycles and people limp their bikes along as long as they can, for whatever reason, then when we get to August and the backside of Sturgis and the limped bike start to show up… we see an on flux of motorcycles that need a different type of service and it’s more of a repair. Repairs like this usually take a little different type of focus and that means most of the parts aren’t readily available. This means we have to order them from various different sources and then be patient for them to arrive. Then get the bikes back on the lift, this makes it hard for the flow, but since we’ve been doing this for 17 years now, it helps that we have our routine, we troubleshoot and we make a shopping list. We get everything ordered and get it in. We get it back on the lift and back on the road. Then repeat. Of course, we still have our oil changes and performance upgrades, and insurance claims and other stuff that mixes along with it, but there’s definitely a different type of flow this time of year. I love it!!

As you can see Herm and I still find a way to make it fun and funny. This is usually it’s at the expense of looking silly but we enjoy it. This is very important because after the end of a long run of summer, we better find a way to have a little fun at the shop or else the grind starts to get to you. The grind is the extreme randomness of the repair of a motorcycle or the upgrad cosmetically or performance wise. The randomness is so extreme that it really tests patience and personality. We like to think of ourselves as superheroes, but in fact, we are only human and thank goodness we are able to check each other when it comes to attitude or frustrations. The years of working together have really helped. We’re good at resetting or putting things back into perspective and getting back to work with a positive attitude.

Hey everyone, this is my cousin Todd and he’s been recently diagnosed with cancer. He went into the hospital a couple months back and they removed a few inches from his colon and he almost died in the process. Where they stitch things back together, it started leaking and it pumped everything back into a system and it was pretty close to the gates of heaven for him.

I hope as many friends of mine can find a way to help support or donate something for his benefit on August 29. Come see me at the shop if you have anything that can help with his medical or his living or to donate for the auction.

Be nice to eachother, ride safe, don’t mess with the four wheels, call your people check up on them make sure everyone’s doing well.

Hey everyone, it’s August 1 today! This is a big month for all of us. This upcoming week Sturgis starts, also the start of high school football and practices, also the start of school for many of us. It gets to be one of the most exciting months of the year and Herm and I are buckled in.

This last week was something extraordinary, I swear we literally saw people climbing over the top of each other to try to get in the shop to get their bike serviced or repaired… for end of summer and before school vacations or Sturgis trip or whatever it might be. You really got the sense that people were grabbing on to what they had left before the busy season of school starts.

Some of the things we saw come into the shop, one of the most extraordinary ones, a gentleman came down from north of Grand Forks with some grinding in his transmission and it turned out to be horrific. This thing was absolutely run out of oil. The sad part is that it’s seen a shop before us and they told them they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. This gentleman had a real time crunch in order to get his bike ready for a national event that he was hosting. This was just one of several things from oil changes to pistons with holes in them… we have a replacement motor going in that one… we’ve had a lot of first time clients and it makes us very proud to have built a business that after 17 years is still drawing in so many new people. A big reason for that isn’t just us in the years we’ve been there, but the growth of our community. The majority of the people I talk to these days have never called the shop or are first time clients. This absolutely blows my mind. Keep in mind that we still see all of our past and regulars however, the on flux of new people is something extraordinary, it isn’t just the size of the community and the growth but it’s that there are fewer and fewer of us independent shops and mechanics. Big business keeps getting bigger. Don’t forget to support your small shops. In some cases you’ll have no other option other than corporate!! Herm and I will work our ass off to always be here and I think we’re on something big.
