Job Summary
Receive all calls coming into facility, determine nature of their business and direct callers to their destination. Answer basic inquiries for incoming calls, route incoming calls, and take messages. Greet all customers as they enter facility. Perform various duties to assist in auto parts sales including fulfilling online orders. Perform various duties for shop manager including completing final invoices. Enter and update products on websites and maintain presence on social media pages.
Customer Service Tasks
• Operate Multi-line phone system answering incoming phone calls in a prompt, polite, and professional manner, transferring them to the appropriate person quickly.
• Take detailed messages when sales or service associate is unavailable and deliver message to associate in a timely manner.
• Greet incoming customers in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner and determine the nature of their visit. Notify the proper associate that a customer is waiting and introduce the customer to that associate.
• Receive customer payments.
• Maintain appropriate demeanor projecting a professional work atmosphere.
Administrative Tasks
• Assist shop manager/estimator with any tasks necessary to help complete our service to our customer in an efficient manner.
• Assist in aftermarket auto parts sales. This includes completing part sales when the customer knows the part number, completing purchase orders, completing final invoices, receiving incoming products, shipping orders to customers in the most cost effective manner.
• Manage auto parts inventory and keep pricing and other information up to date in management software.
• Complete all online orders from start to finish.
• Process credit card sales.
• Maintain websites and other online sales outlets with product pictures, pricing, and accurate descriptions.
• Maintain social media pages and general information on websites.
• Track office supplies.
• Make sure reception area and work environment remains neat and organized.
Qualifications
• Must enjoy computer work and have appropriate computer skills.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills.
• Must have excellent phone etiquette.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Must have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.
• The ideal candidate may have experience as an automotive service advisor or automotive service manager, or experience with fleet or aftermarket auto parts.
• Additional Experience as an auto parts manager or auto parts counter sales would also be considered.
Experience Required
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working with customers over the phone and in person.
• Experience with computers and Microsoft products.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 35lbs with ease
