What a great (and busy) evening at our October 6th, 2026 Town Council Regular Meeting!

We were proud to welcome our newest employee, Officer Roche, to the Springdale Police Department. Officer Roche will serve as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School. We are excited to have him join our team and look forward to the positive impact he will make in our schools and community!

We also had the honor of recognizing Officer Rocha as the Springdale Police Department Officer of the Quarter. Congratulations, Officer Rocha, and thank you for your dedication and service to the Town of Springdale!

And before anyone gets confused--Officer Rocha and Officer Roche are NOT the same person! We promise there are actually TWO of them!

Town Council also recognized Doc's Auto ER as our "Spotlight on Springdale" recipient. "Spotlight on Springdale" is a quarterly initiative of the Council to recognize local businesses that positively impact the quality of life in our small town. Thank you for all you do for our community and for the positive difference you make in Springdale!

Last but not least, we also welcomed our MASC Field Services Manager, Rob Wolfe, who joined us to discuss important upcoming changes to municipal elections. We appreciate him taking the time to keep our Council and staff informed as we prepare for these changes.

It was another great evening of recognizing those who serve our community, welcoming new members to our team, and staying informed on the important issues facing our town. We are grateful for everyone who continues to make Springdale a great place to live, work, and serve!

The Town of Springdale is excited to welcome Carolina Nail Academy to our community and congratulate them on their grand opening.

Carolina Nail Academy is Lexington County’s only school dedicated exclusively to nail education, bringing new opportunities to our community through hands-on education and training for those looking to pursue a career in the nail industry.

Congratulations to the entire Carolina Nail Academy team! We wish you continued success and are excited to have you in Springdale.

Beginning August 17th, 2026, the Town of Springdale will implement a new collection schedule to improve the overall efficiency of our sanitation services. With this schedule change, we can better utilize our equipment and staff, while continuing to provide the most reliable services to our residents.

Today we held a ribbon cutting for Springdale’s first public art installation, a beautiful mural representing what makes our Town special. This mural is a reminder that investing in our community isn't just about roads and buildings, it's also about creating spaces that inspire, connect, and celebrate who we are.

Public art has a unique way of bringing people together. It tells a story, and creates a sense of place. This mural will serve as a welcoming landmark for residents and visitors alike.

We are grateful to have received the grant that made this project possible. We sincerely thank everyone who helped bring this vision to life, especially our grant partners Keep America Beautiful, Keep the Midlands Beautiful, and the talented artist Michael Geddings, whose creativity now brightens the wall of Town Hall.
