Tech Tip Tuesday 👩‍🔧🚗
Got a Nail in Your Tire? 🛞

🚨 First rule: DON’T pull the nail out!
If your tire is still holding air, leaving the nail in may help slow the leak until you can get it properly checked.

✅ DO:
• Check your tire pressure
• Drive carefully and avoid high speeds
• Get the tire inspected by a professional ASAP
• Use your spare tire if the tire is losing air quickly

❌ DON’T:
• Pull the nail out
• Driving on a flat or severely underinflated tire
• Use a plug as a permanent fix without having the tire properly inspected
• Trying household “hacks”

💡 Good to know: Some small punctures in the tread area can be safely repaired—but damage to the sidewall or a large/irregular hole may mean the tire needs to be replaced.

🛞 When in doubt, stop driving and get it checked! A small nail is much cheaper to deal with than a damaged tire—or worse, a blowout.
