Vintage Honda Resources

Vintage Honda Resources For all your vintage Honda motorcycle needs. Tune-ups, repair, restorations

I have been working on vintage Honda's for the past 30 years, no job too large or small. I also keep my fee low because of the low value of the bike, no one wants to put big money into a $1500 bike!

Something to take note of! I googles this and it looks legit... A 2025–2026 voluntary recall affects specific Dunlop motorcycle tires due to manufacturing issues that may cause tread separation or air loss. Affected models include various Trailmax Raid, Mutant, SportSmart MK4, and SportSmart TT tires produced in late 2024 (weeks 43–45). Owners should check DOT codes for 4324, 4424, or 4524 and contact a dealer for free replacement.
Affected Tire Models (Produced Weeks 43-45, 2024):

Trailmax Raid: 150/70R18 (70T) M+S TL, 170/60R17 (72T) M+S TL
Mutant: 160/60ZR17 (69W) TL
SportSmart MK4: 160/60ZR17 (69W) TL
SportSmart TT: 170/60ZR17 (72W) TL, 120/70R17, 120/70ZR17, 190/55ZR17
TRX Meridian: 170/60ZR17 72W TL
Qualifier Core: 180/55ZR17 (73W) TL
D908 RR: 150/70B18 (70S) M+S TT

Key Details:

Risk: Potential tread separation, porosity (air pockets), or loss of traction, increasing crash risks.
Identification: The Tire Identification Number (TIN) on the sidewall will end in 4324, 4424, or 4524.
Action: Contact an authorized dealer or Sumitomo Rubber North America (1-800-845-8378) for free replacement.
