So ive had a rash of engines eating alot of dirt and im a firm believer to run good filters not the cheapest and to make sure they are oiled properly and a outerwear of some sort
With this being said we also had a engine fall victim to terrible dusty conditions and I assure you i run good filters and oiled properly as bad as ive seen some tracks as far as dust this year if you've ran 6 to 8 weeks in those conditions I assure you your down on HP you will never catch all the dirt as much as in the air
So we are doing all rebuilds for $300 LABOR , PARTS ARE EXTRA !!!!!!

I really wish these track owners with sandy clay would understand how much this cost the racers and most won't use something to seal the track like mag flakes , salt water , or the other stuff made just for it but they dont want to absorb the extra cost of it but what they dont understand is how much it is costing the racers to maintain there equipment bearings , chassis being sand blasted and most of all engines the couple hundred a week just for safety alone is well worth it let alone the the equipment it would save !!! I do get it hard for tracks to absorb another cost but im a firm believer you have a good clean surface somewhat dust free alot more karts would show up to cover the cost I think most racers would pay a extra $5 to get in the pits and know they have a sealed of racetrack where dust and sand isnt destroying there equipment and a much safer race track this is in no way bashing one single track because ive been to several this year and seemed to be the problem at 75% of them
Nothing in this sport is getting cheaper and its getting harder and harder for people to show up every week knowing the track they race is going to be really dusty or dirty knowing they are hurting there equipment without even wrecking and if you get a tire out of the groove your going to be wrecking which is even going to cost more to the racers
I dont know what the answer is as far as each tracks finances but somewhere safety and equipment needs to come over saving a couple hundred a week !!!!!!!!!!!
Pics below are a few different engines ive had back in the shop one of those engines had 2 nights on it running 2 classes and I see what filters they run and they are very a**l about it and still dirt gets in because the whole engine is usually just surrounded by a dust cloud at some of these tracks !!!!
