This one came in with some serious rocker panel corrosion. The factory rocker was heavily rusted and deteriorated, with sections of the lower structure essentially gone.
Instead of simply covering the problem, we cut away the compromised metal, treated the remaining structure, protected the cavities, and rebuilt the rocker area so the replacement panels had something solid to attach to.
🔹 Removed severely deteriorated metal
🔹 Treated remaining rust with Ospho
🔹 Protected internal cavities with Cosmoline RP-342
🔹 Installed reinforced inner-rocker brackets
🔹 Installed textured ABS replacement rocker & cab-corner panels Original Appearance Mfg
🔹 Secured the ABS panels with automotive-grade 3M adhesive and mechanical fasteners
The goal wasn't just to make it look better — it was to stop the corrosion, protect what was left, and give this truck a much better shot at staying that way.
