You don’t see this very often in the middle of summer. 😂⚓️

Most days when someone comes down to “see the boats,” there really isn’t much to see — because they’re out on the river where they’re supposed to be.

Today was different.

A big chunk of the fleet came home at the same time, which means it’s RESET DAY at Wellesley Island Boat Rentals.

Now Ethan and the crew get to work. Every boat gets cleaned, checked over, fueled up and made ready for the next customer.

It’s actually pretty cool seeing this many of them sitting at the dock together.

They won’t stay here long. 😂

⚓️ Get to Know Your Captain — Ethan

If you’ve rented a boat from us over the last few years, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve met Ethan.

Ethan has been with Wellesley Island Boat Rentals for 5 years and has worked his way up to managing our operation on Wellesley Island.

He’s also an MMC licensed captain, knows these waters extremely well, and when he’s not running our boats, there’s a good chance you’ll find him out on the river in his own.

We’re lucky to have him as part of the crew — and after five seasons, he’s become a pretty big part of what keeps this place running. ⚓️

The XINSURANCE turbine boat screaming through the American Narrows at over 115 mph is something you don’t forget. The sound, the speed, and the way it disappears between the islands in seconds…
