For the third year in a row, we made the list of Top Workplaces in the region and earned nation-wide recognition! Our employees awarded this title to us, which makes it all the more special. In addition, we were selected for the “Appreciation Award”, which represents the genuine appreciation our employees feel from management and owners for their contributions. Students were challenged to a game of "guess the car part" and encouraged to ask questions about the automotive recycling (and tree farm) industries. We always enjoy getting involved with local schools to demonstrate the many opportunities Wilbert's can provide to hard-working students before and after they graduate. We awarded our Employee of the Year recognition to two of our dedicated employees, Bridget from Wilbert’s U-Pull It of Rochester and Zyiad from Wilbert’s Premium Auto Parts of East Ohio at our annual holiday party. This award serves as a well-deserved token of appreciation of all of their efforts to make Wilbert’s the quality-centric company it is. Several members of our leadership team had the opportunity to attend Echelon Front Extreme Ownership Training instructed by Rob Jones in Albany, NY this past weekend. The program challenged us to take complete ownership of our decisions, our teams, and our outcomes with lessons on communication, accountability, and decentralized command. We will continue to sharpen our leadership mindset going forward in order to strengthen our company culture.

Our team represented western New York, Wilbert’s, and, of course, the Bills this past week at the 82nd annual Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) Convention & Expo in Alabama. We foster valuable connections with other recyclers at these events as well as come back to our operations with new ideas and strategies to implement. We’ve spent years attending these conventions and, this year, many of our representatives lead their own presentations and sessions to educate others. We’re thankful for the opportunity for growth this trip provides and look forward to the next!
