As a reminder for our Mass boaters:
The HANSON-MILONE Safe Boater Law started on 4/1/26 for anyone born on or after January 1st, 1989. A grace period was allowed through today 8/31/26.

ENFORCEMENT OF THE LAW will begin TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 1st, 2026.
If you were born after January 1, 1989 you must now complete an approved safety course!

In January 2025, the Hanson-Milone Act was signed into law. The Act included mandatory boater safety education provisions for all motorboat operators, which takes effect on April 1, 2026.
