Fresh early 5-bolt 64/65 289 engine is now in the 1964.5 Mustang Convertible. Need to button up a few things before we install the freshly rebuilt original 3-speed transmission.

Engine bay paint is finally dry on the 1964.5 Mustang Convertible. Original wiring harnesses have been cleaned, re-taped and routed back in their original locations. New engine should be in tomorrow.

Couldn’t come back from Georgia with an empty trailer. Wimbledon White with Red Interior 1965 Mustang Coupe with 200 cubic inch 6 cylinder with 3-speed manual transmission, Non-Air, Non-P/S, Non-P/B, 2 owner survivor car. All original with minimal rust. Even had new brakes and new white wall tires.

Breaking down an early 351W engine for a rebuild at a later date. Intake casting number is D1AE-9425-CA with a date code of 0L10 (November 10, 1970). I will get block and head casting numbers and date codes once it’s torn down and on an engine stand.
